Keep Adea in School — Albanian student from Kosova
Tax deductible
Adea Zeqiri is a student from Mitrovica attending high school in North Carolina. She was accepted into The St. David’s School school in Raleigh, NC with a scholarship for her junior year which she completed successfully, and her scholarship was renewed for this school year. Unfortunately, the US host who financed her stay last year is unable to support her this year, which would be her final year of high school.
To help keep Adea in school we have set up this fundraising campaign and reaching out to the community. Adea’s family lives in Kosovo unable to help her financially. She needs our help to get the books, transportation, food, standardized testing (AP, SAT, ACT), health insurance, application fees, and other supplies to get back to school.
After high school, her goal is to attend medical school to become a doctor. “I want to get into pre-med and then attend medical school and become a doctor, which is my dream. I want to be a doctor because I want to help people. As an Albanian, I grew up hearing things such as, “Health above all!”. I have been taught to value health greatly, and I believe that one of the best ways to make people’s lives better is by helping them achieve good health.”
Your generous gift will ensure that Adea's dreams are not knocked off course and her hopes cut short. Please consider joining with a contribution to give her the gift of education, the gift of a better life.
Note: GoFundMe adds a 15% optional tip on top of your donation that you can adjust to zero — they already charge transaction fees automatically deducted from each donation.
To all those who supported our campaign, thank you so much!
