Keep Amneh and Tawfik Khalil Legacies Alive

Earlier this year my dearest friend and close sister in Islam lost her father Tawfik Khalil and yesterday our community was heartbroken by the loss of her beautiful mother Amneh Khalil. Anyone who knew Mama Amneh immediately loved her. From the sweet embrace she always greeted you with, to her most warm hugs, to her continuous heart felt duaas she would make for you. She truly felt like a second mom to many of us, a beacon of light and joy, one who despite the pain she was enduring always carried a smile and always appeared in the happiness of states, and the most content of people. The news of her departure shook us all to the core. In memory of her and her husband's legacy, we would like to raise funds to build a well in their honor for those in Africa to be able to retrieve water from and quench the thirst of many for many years to come.
