Keep Beth's Whale Mural a Tourist Attraction

Moby Dick, the iconic whale mural installation on Stearn’s Wharf, is almost 25 years old and is sorely in need of renovations after being damaged by the salt air over the last few years.

He needs your help coming back to life!

Beth Amine, a local Santa Barbara artist, was commissioned to create this now-famous landmark back in 1991.

Ever since, its magnetic appeal has made it a photo stop for millions of tourists from all over the world as well as a favorite spot for locals, bringing smiles to faces and joy to families.

In fact, Beth Amine is all about joy.

Founder of Joyous Movement, and author of Joyous Every Day Living, she has spent every day of the last 50+ years spreading love and inspiring beauty, creativity and movement.

As you can imagine, because the mural is so close to the sea and the salt and wind are so caustic, it needs regular restoration.

Financing to maintain the mural has come through various sources over the years, but is now non-existent! At a time when the paint is already in particularly bad disrepair and will only get worse with any delay!

A three-year plan has been created for ongoing maintenance including a comprehensive and immediate update with new, technologically-advanced, more weather-resistant materials.

Can we commission Beth for the next 3 years? Investing $2,500 a year to keep this Santa Barbara landmark gorgeous?
