Keep Brick House Serving the Bristol Community

Hello everyone!

My name is Aretha Hall Jackson, I'm the owner of Brick House / H&J and Toys and more here in Bristol, Pa. We are a family-owned mini-mart on Jefferson Avenue that sells candy, toys, snacks, and home essentials. We also have a kitchen that sells everything from cold sandwiches to home-cooked meals, dinner platters, and kids meals. We have worked hard to keep prices affordable and also offer a small selection of free food & essentials for anyone in need. We've made many friends here in Bristol, from our neighbors on Jefferson Avenue to people we've met at borough events and community gatherings throughout the year.

As a Bristol Borough native and a small business owner of this town, we're reaching out to the community for help. Recently we've faced a series of unexpected hardships, including a failed refrigeration unit that caused us to lose a great deal of food, and a leak in our roof that closed our kitchen unexpectedly for several days and which has proven difficult to repair. We are doing our best to keep the doors open, but each day becomes a little harder.

I've been established in this building for almost 4 years, and being able to serve the community of Bristol is something I truly love to do. Bringing families together for a quick home-cooked meal, watching the kids come to enjoy an afternoon snack & candy - we cherish and value our customers in the connections we have made, and hope to be a part of the community for many years to come.
