Keep Brooke Safe: Donate for a New AC

Hello, beautiful people! My name is Ashley and I'm here to raise funds for my sister, Brooke. After several consecutive days of 100+ degree weather, her air conditioner has given up the ghost. With several more triple digit days in sight, you can imagine how bad this would be for anyone, but for Brooke it could actually be deadly. She has a brain tumor that causes a condition called SIADH, which essentially tells her kidneys to release sodium. With this condition, the body holds onto too much water, diluting the amount of sodium in the blood. She has been hospitalized on several occasions because of her low sodium. She is on a fluid restriction and is under doctor's instruction not to do activities that could result in sweating. In Arizona, USA looking outside too hard will make you sweat! So, you can see that the situation is pretty dire.

Now that we have the medical background out of the way, here's a little personal background about Brooke. She is the single mother of a teenager. They have two beautiful dogs, and 2 pretty obnoxious cats that would also appreciate a working AC! She bought her house a few years ago and started trying to build a homestead, growing her own food and improving her property. She works from home and that's probably one of the best things that could have happened for her because it's the only place she wants to be.

When I asked her what she would like the world to know about her and her situation she said that foremost she's a Christian with a strong work ethic. She feels that no matter how hard she tries to get ahead and make a better life for her and her child, she just can't catch a break.

This is a big ask. It's a lot of money, but if you can contribute even the smallest bit, my family would be forever grateful. We're kinda attached to Brooke.
