Keep Curves open!!

When I contemplated doing the Go Fund Me,  I struggled because I have always been very independent and I have never relied on anyone but myself.  But I want to save Curves!  And I think some of you do as well. 

I have exhausted all options before coming to this.  I applied for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan but the money ran out too fast.  I applied for the Paycheck Protection Program and my application has been pending for over 7 weeks, I believe it will never be approved.   And I don't have a lot of employees so this will just be a debt I will have to pay back.  I asked my landlord to consider waiving June's rent payment. He is unwilling to negotiate. And I still have fourteen months on the lease. So I was so surprised that he didn't want to work with me and keep us there. 

Closing for two months because of COVID have had catastrophic financial consequences for this Curves.  As the members have became older, they have converted from a paying member to an Insurance Paid/Wellness member. Example of these are Silver Sneakers, Silver n Fit, etc.  These member's insurance company only pays a portion of the membership fee but the member is not responsible for the part they do not pay.  And the insurance companies only pay when the member works out.  So for two months I received zero deposits for all of the many wellness insurance members we have on our roster. 

This fund would be used to pay June's rent, Curves debits and utilities.  None of this will be used for personal gain.  I would be so grateful to reopen.  Let's do this and keep this wonderful place open for all of us to continue being healthy and happy!!!!
