Danny is homeless

Hi, I'm Jeff. Danny is a close personal friend. When I was homeless, he took me in and gave me a room to rent at a very low price.

He also introduced my wife to me. Because of him my two sons exist and I have a family.

Danny has overcome challenge after challenge after challenge in his life. At 16 he was in a car accident and broke C4 and C5 in his neck. Doctors told him he would never walk again.

He proved them wrong, by learning to walk again, with a severe limp. Danny lost some use of his hands, but that never stopped him. After pushing and demanding he be allowed, he served a 2yr LDS mission. When he returned home, he started college to become a youth social worker.

About 5yrs ago Danny was hospitalized with a nasty infection throughout his body. He wasn't expected to make it. Again he proved them wrong and survived. Unfortunately, this put him back in a wheelchair. Currently he is working with a PT to once again escape the wheelchair.

Danny on July 31 was evicted from his room he rented from a friend because the friend is moving.

I am currently paying for a motel room for Danny. I can only afford 2 weeks. At which time he will have to go to a homeless shelter. My home has too many stairs and narrow hallways for him to stay with me.

We have been desperately hunting for an apartment he can afford. The best we have found is a 1 bedroom house for $900.00/mo. Danny's only source of income is his SSI, which about $1,100.00/mo.

It is my hope to raise $12,000.00 to pay a security deposit and 1 year of rent at this 1 bedroom house.

I humbly ask for your help, because we are out of options.
