Keep Ethan's Home Stable and Safe

In January I left a nearly 16 year marriage with Dan. It was sudden because it had become unhealthy for all of us and we needed to change. We are committed to active and cooperative co-parenting and that remains the goal for us both to bring Ethan into healing and help him to thrive.

Dan cares for his elderly mother who has health issues and needs support and transportation so he is unable to work a traditional job and is unable to provide child support at this time due to his responsibilities to his mother and his dedication to her care.

This left me with nothing and I am unable to pay my rent at present. Due to disabilities including Autism, ADHD, PTSD and Severe Anxiety I am unable to work and am in my second moth of waiting for Social Security Disability approval. I have been applying for cash assistance but it is punishingly hard to get and after nearly 2 months I still don't have the approval I need to gain that $300 in income.

I face imminent homelessness and this would be traumatic to Ethan just as he is starting to stabilize after the traumas surrounding the changes in his life. We are safe in this apartment and I deeply and dearly want to be able to stay here and provide Ethan the stability of the home he has known since 2019.

My landlady, Grace, is incredible and lives in the other half of the duplex. Loss of my apartment would impact her greatly so the miracle I am asking for is as much for her as it is for us

I HATE asking for help and have avoided it. I'm not looking for anything but 1 months provision for housing. All of the rental assistance programs (and I have called well over a dozen) have no funds and section 8 is tapped out. Even public housing has an over 3 year waiting list
