Keep Finley Smiling

My sweet dog, Finley, unexpectedly lost the use of his hind legs on the evening of Monday, April 10th. The veterinary neurologist discovered that Finley had bulging disks in his back after an MRI was conducted on Tuesday morning. I rescued Finley as a puppy, and I committed to doing everything possible for him to have the best life possible. Finley underwent a three-hour spinal surgery Tuesday evening as that was the only option to keep him mobile and able to live his best life.

Finley turns 4 years old today and before this happened, he was an extremely happy, vibrant, energetic dog who loved to hike and play ball. He has a 95% chance of a full recovery in 6-8 weeks, and I can already see improvements in his mobility each day. Like all surgeries, this one was expensive. The vet consultations, hospital stay, MRI and surgery have added up to about $10,000.
