Hi. This is Hank, owner and founder of Hickory Hanks BBQ here in Rio Linda, CA. For the last 30 years I have done business in and around Sacramento. Giving me the opportunity to meet many valued customers and make many lasting relationships. Every week my dedicated staff, that I love like family, and I work hand in to hand to bbq up some fantastic food that we get to share with all of you. Or wrangle it together for that special event.
Due to the Covid virus we have had to change how we operate not only our weekly bbq, but also the subsequent elimination of the catering side of the business. There are continually changing guidelines that we are trying to keep up with; and constant upgrades we are trying to make so that our customers are as comfortable as possible while following all the rules that are put into place as we go through these new times.
As most of you may know, The Sacramento County is stating that we are going to need to be rezoned. In order to do this, and be able to continue serving the people and community that we love so much, the fees would be astronomical. They are saying it’s likely to be more than $60,000.00. If I have to close my doors this will not only be a hardship on my family, staff, and myself, but also the many other people, businesses, and corporations associated with Hickory Hanks.
Due to the county demands, and the lack of catering business, we are asking for any contributions you can help us with.
We are, and always will be, a community business and can’t do it without your help.
Many Thanks Hank
