Hurricane Helene Relief for Insight Recovery Center

Insight Recovery Center in Asheville, North Carolina, offers compassionate, comprehensive, holistic and evidence based addiction treatment. Our founders are clinicians with over 19 years of experience who take an integrative and mindfulness-based approach to healing. Their dream to one day found and operate a small, intimate treatment center where people can come to find sanctuary and healing from addiction has come true. But sadly, the events of this past week have left such devastation in the wake of Hurricane Helene, and has greatly impacted Insight Recovery Center's ability to be fully operational. We desperately need your help to be able to focus on helping those that need our care and support despite the obstacles stacked against us.

Our beautiful mountain town has suffered so much, many businesses can no longer operate. Insight Recovery Center is functional, we are fortunate and grateful, but we are also in dire need of financial support in order to continue providing shelter, food, water, makeshift outdoor showers, as well as therapeutic support for our clients and those in need. We are doing everything we can to stay operational in light of this tragedy to ensure no one gets turned away and displaced. The recovery community is working hard to get back on their feet again in Asheville and to be available to those struggling.

Our owners are boots on ground, and have been since the moment they’ve been able to get out of their home in Swannanoa, where they no longer have safe driving conditions, water or power. Their mission remains close to their heart, their staff and clients remain their top priority, and they need all the help they can get to pay operational costs to continue client care for those that have nowhere else to go and need the support to stay in recovery.

We have dedicated staff continuing to show up, but we need to be able to pay them to not only provide employment, but so they can help in the care of clients and daily operations. We need to keep the power and water on (especially now with having everyone using water to shower as it is so scarce everywhere). We need funds for gas to run the generators, vans for client transport, and staff vehicles.
