Keep Inspired Operating!

I started this Go Fund Me page for my amazing and beautiful sister, Lisa Burdsall, who has opened up a sweet little thrift store on the ocean called "Inspired" in an effort to support victims of sexual assault and their families. 

Lisa has a vision to provide a peaceful, healing, and inspiring place for those who have been victimized as well as helping those family members who are also impacted by  the trauma their loved one endured.

Since opening "Inspired" in 2014 Lisa has worked tirelessly, never pulling a pay check, to see that those who are most vulnerable have a place to go for help and healing. Additionally, through art, poetry and a love of the ocean, "Inspired" brings those in need a healthy path for healing. She does this through referrals, vouchers for homeless and journaling.   

We want to see Inspired open again in 2017 as they have proved to be an asset to our community here in Ocean City, Maryland. In order for those magical doors to reopen, Lisa needs to pay in advance for next years lease. She did a tremendous job these past two years in reaching very emotional and traumatized individuals ranging in ages from 7-68 years of age.  Now she needs our help. 

When you walk into the magic that is "Inspired"  immediately a cozy and safe feeling takes over, making everyone feel at home and among good friends as well a as powerful support system. This is so important for those attempting to heal and grow through trauma. The community needs this resource and would be so grateful for the generosity of others to keep this little store going strong and reaching others in need! Thank you, thank you!
