Keep Janette's Dream Alive: DACA Renewal

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,

My name is Janette and I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart but also with hope. I have been a proud DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipient since its inception in 2012. This program has allowed me to live, work, and provide for my children in the only country I have ever called home. However, I am currently facing significant financial challenges that threaten my ability to renew my work authorization, and I need your help.

As many of you know, the DACA renewal process requires a hefty fee that can be burdensome for individuals like me, who are trying to make ends meet. The application fee alone is , and when you add attorney fees and other associated costs, the total can quickly become overwhelming. Unfortunately, I have not been able to save up the necessary funds due to financial struggles.

My work authorization is not just a piece of paper; it is a lifeline for me and my children. Without it, I risk losing my job and the ability to support my family. I have 4 beautiful children who depend on me for their well-being, education, and future. I want to set an example for them, showing them the value of hard work and perseverance, but the obstacles I face are daunting.

The recent political climate has created uncertainty regarding the future of DACA, and the urgency of my situation weighs heavily on me. I want to continue contributing to our community and providing for my family, but I cannot do it alone. That’s why I am turning to you for support.
