Keep Jeff Moving Forward
Donation protected
We have an opportunity to help cancer warrior, Jeff Christenson, get the treatment he needs in his fight against Leukemia.
Jeff Christenson was first diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 40 in December 2018. He went into remission in August 2019 after numerous rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. But in December 2020, he learned his cancer had returned.
Jeff is a fighter, and he’s been fighting this cancer every step of the way for his wife, Bridget, and three kids, Cece (11), Maggie (10), and Henry (7).
Any gift you make will make a huge difference for the Christenson’s. Please donate today!

Jeff is a fighter, and he’s been fighting this cancer every step of the way for his wife, Bridget, and three kids, Cece (11), Maggie (10), and Henry (7).
His leukemia is so aggressive that he needed even more aggressive chemo treatments, which have left Jeff with severe mobility challenges —and so Jeff has recently had to stop working. Cece, told her dad to just “keep moving forward” early in his cancer fight. That has been his mantra ever since.
Now, Jeff has a chance to beat his leukemia with a new experimental procedure. This is where we come in.
Jeff has been accepted into a clinical trial at the renown Houston Methodist hospital, sponsored by Baylor College of Medicine. Jeff and Bridget will go to Houston for 4-6 weeks for this treatment. Jeff’s oldest brother, Chris, will drive Jeff to Houston in an RV to make sure he is protected from COVID-19—as well as all the other germs and diseases that are more dangerous for people in cancer treatment.
Jeff’s younger brother and original stem cell transplant donor, John, is once again donating his blood so that his cells can be turned into cancer fighting weapons and then infused into Jeff. Once Jeff is in remission, his older brother, Matt, will become Jeff's new stem cell donor for his second transplant. (Thank goodness Jeff’s parents, Bob and Sue, had four boys.)
While some aspects of the clinical trial will be covered, Bridget & Jeff will need to pay all 'standard of care' procedures at Houston Methodist (labs, daily clinic visits, possible hospitalization, and imaging tests), which are all out-of-network, in addition to all associated transportation and lodging for them in Houston. This is all on top of the monthly expenses that go along with running their home and raising three kids.
Needless to say, they need our help.
We are asking you today to please help Jeff and his incredible family by making a donation to help pay for the expenses they will incur during this promising next phase of treatment in Houston.
Jeff wants to see his kids graduate, get married, and have kids of their own. He wants to grow old with his wife, Bridget. He wants to be back driving the kids to soccer and gymnastics, going on walks with the dogs and Bridget, and biking with his buds. He wants to be back on the lake with his dad and brothers. And sitting around the table with the entire Christenson crew eating his mom’s Sunday dinners. He wants to live.
