I have been struggling with an as of yet undiagnosed medical issue. I have been working with the VA, getting referrals to specialists, and going through batteries of tests. This has been ongoing since January of this year.

I have lost my job since and, while I waited for my unemployment to process, lived off of my savings that was meant to be a down payment for a vehicle since I have no means of transportation.

The same job that fired me for my physical disability - preventing me from doing my job, and encouraged me to seek unemployment while waiting to get a diagnosis and get "fixed" - filed an appeal against the unemployment.

We are currently waiting for our next hearing since the first one wasn't enough time to go through all the testimony and witness statements. The next hearing isn't until January of next year. In the meantime, they are withholding the unemployment insurance that was already approved.

I have started the process of getting a temporary disability rating increase through the VA and we have been going back and forth since April of this year. The hopefully last of the paperwork is being submitted tomorrow and hopefully they will get everything finalized before December.

I have also applied to a menagerie of jobs. I have yet to get to the interview part of the process in any of those attempts. Just have a pile of rejections.to show for it.

However, and this is why I am putting out a desperate plea here, I have no money for rent or utilities. If I do not have the rent paid by the 18th of this month, they are going to evict me.

I hate asking. I tried applying for loans, even outrageous ones with astronomical interest rates but keep getting turned down. I assumed I could at least get a student loan to cover the finances but even then I'm being turned down.

If you have the capability, will you please help see us through for this month? The boys and I would be eternally grateful.
