Keep Jill Sutherland's Heart Beating

Jill Sutherland (Cedar Grove High School Class of 1985) was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure in 2008. Until recently, medication helped manage her condition. In the last four months, Jill has been diagnosed with END STAGE HEART DISEASE and had surgery to insert a defibrillator/pacemaker in November. She now needs OPEN HEART SURGERY to implant a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) to help pump blood from the lower chambers of her heart to the rest of her body. This surgery is scheduled for the week of Christmas.

 

As you can imagine, her medical costs for her previous surgery and upcoming surgery are substantial. Additionally, Jill will require 24/7 care for 10-12 weeks after her surgery.
