HELP JOANNE & EMILIANO STAY TOGETHER DURING US VISA PROCESS
Donation protected
Hello, we are Devin & Vanessa, and we’re seeking help on behalf of our friend Joanne and her husband, Emiliano, so that they may remain together and not be parted while waiting out the US immigration process.
THE SITUATION
Since Emi is from Argentina, the United States requires that he have a visa even to visit. Because of this, they are forced to live abroad throughout the process if they wish to stay together.
They had hoped to be able to be in California by this point, but the wait times projected by the USCIS have proved to be incredibly inaccurate and unreliable. Joanne recently requested that the USCIS expedite their immigration case, but the request was denied. Not knowing what else to do and completely out of employment options in their current location, Joanne and Emiliano urgently need help with relocation costs.
We know many people who love and want to support Joanne and Emi, so we’ve created this GoFundMe on their behalf.
THE HELP
Joanne and Emi need help relocating to pursue more lucrative work opportunities and support themselves while they wait out the visa process. The costs include airfare, luggage fees, pet travel fees and preparatory veterinary appointments, transportation from the airport to their final destination, and at least one month of rent and living expenses to help them get set up and start working. Any additional funds raised will be put towards their immigration filing fees in the next stage of the visa process.
Donating to this cause will help Joanne and Emi regain their footing after several traumatic and tumultuous years. This slow and difficult immigration process often results in the separation of families and couples, which causes significant stress — financially and emotionally. We want our friends to avoid the burden of being separated. Helping them finance this move will allow Joanne and Emiliano to stay together while they wait for his Visa approval.
