Keep Lake Woodmere a Love Nest for Frankie & Blossom

Frankie & Blossom hope they can count on you to help fill the pond and their bellies for 2025! They need your help to keep floating on Lake Woodmere!

While the resident geese Frankie & Blossom (plus crew), and our visiting wild birds, are plenty buoyant, our water source needs some improvements. You may not know, Lake Woodmere is an artificial pond floating some of the coolest chicks around for over 120 years. By filling it throughout the year, we've kept the pond a significant attraction at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, IA. Feather-y friends and finny ones, too, have counted on it for their homes and for a safe place to visit.

Friends of Riverside Cemetery & Riverside Cemetery are working together to raise $100,000 for a brand new pump system to fill the pond for generations to come. While this project is ongoing, we need to keep filling the pond when it gets low and buying lots and lots of cracked corn and dog food for full bellies.
