Lizzie's Lasting Light: A Fund In Memory of Elizabeth Daly

My name is Anna Daly and on December 21, 2024, my sister and best friend, Elizabeth Daly, tragically overdosed and passed away. If you were lucky enough to know Lizzie, you know that she would do anything for anyone she considered a friend. She was the sweetest girl, and even in the depths of her addiction and mental health struggles, she did her best to help others however she could. My heart is shattered and I would do anything to have my dear sister back, but I will try to do everything I can to keep her bright spirit and memory alive.

So many of you have reached out and asked how you can help. My family would like to start a scholarship in memory of our Lizzie, to help a continuing education student fulfill their dream of becoming a cosmetologist. We are also raising funds for two organizations that were close to Lizzie's heart; STOP Domestic Violence and Planned Parenthood in Plattsburgh. Finally, we will be raising $800 to build a home shelter in Nicaragua in memory of Lizzie, through North Country Mission of Hope.

One event has already been planned: On Saturday, January 11, from 11am to 7pm, Juhnna Bartlett of Body Art Tattoo in Plattsburgh will be hosting a Flash Tattoo Sheet, designed by Juhnna with some help from Anna, and inspired by our Lizzie. All money raised from this event will go directly to the Lizzie's Light Fund. Juhnna will be sharing more through her social media soon.
