Keep Martha Training & Racing

Hello, my name us Martha Newell. I’m 16 years old and I’m an alpine skier.

Background:

I started training when I was six at my local dry ski slope at Gloucester, falling in love with the exhilaration and sense of achievement of getting down the slope in the fastest time possible. From those early days, I have now progressed to being a Welsh Squad team member for three years in a row.

I currently train with Excel Performance Racing in Austriay during the winter from December to March. When I am away I ski train six days a week (Ski 8-3 and then Gym/Fitness, dinner, ski prep & bed). I have college work to fit in around this.

My Goal:

My goal is to continue to keep training. Given how much I’ve improved in the past few years, I would like to continue training to further my Alpine skiing skills with the view of trying to make the Olympics one day!

Funding:

I would really like some funding to support my 2025 / 2026 season, so that I can continue to train & race to best of my ability and fulfil my potential. I’m so grateful to my Mum and Dad who work incredibly hard to pay for all my training, racing and equipment. It’s not enough though to support my plans as I improve as the costs are crazy. I would hugely appreciate any amount of money then you can kindly give to support me to reach my dream.
