A Plea for Help: Keeping a Mother's Final Wish Alive
Our family is facing a critical moment that could change everything. On October 8th, Michael lost his mother, Brenda, to cancer - a battle she kept private until her final two weeks. In her last days, her greatest wish was to ensure her youngest son, 8-year-old Ryan, would have a stable home.
Michael, a dedicated army veteran who served as an E6 and now works in heavy equipment, has stepped up to honor his mother's final request. He became Ryan's guardian and executor of her estate, taking on the responsibility of maintaining her home. During her illness, Michael took a leave of absence from work to care for his mother, driving her to medical appointments and supporting her through her final days.
Tragically, this compassionate act resulted in Michael losing his job. Now, we're facing a December 20th deadline to pay $4,500 to keep the house - the home Brenda wanted to leave to Ryan. With seven children between us and limited income, we're struggling to meet this crucial payment.
We're not asking for luxury, just a chance to keep a promise and provide stability for these children. Any donation, no matter how small, can help us:
- Preserve the family home
- Honor Brenda's final wish
- Prevent potential homelessness
- Give these children a sense of security this Christmas
Donations can be made directly to Vanderbilt. If you cannot contribute financially, we humbly ask for your prayers and support.
Our family has always been about helping others. Now, we find ourselves in a position of needing help ourselves. Your kindness could change everything.
Thank you, and God bless.
