Keep Mobai Alive
Donation protected
GSA is a charity that exists to support communities to stand on their own feet and know the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Since 2017, we have impacted over 600 households in Sierra Leone and funded:
- Clean Water Fountains
- Classroom and Recreational Resources
- Solar panels
- Agricultural tools for farming
- Sanitation Equipment
- Essential foods
The Problem (COVID-19)
The Coronavirus has had a grave impact on the most developed parts of the world and has began to spread rapidly in less developed countries like Sierra Leone. The facts are:
- Coronavirus cases have doubled since the first week of May in Sierra Leone.
- In the village of Mobai, there are less than 10 medical staff serving a community consisting of 600 households
- There is limited access to food in the community and hundreds of families are at risk of infection.
What we have done so far
To support 600 households through the government lockdowns, GSA has donated:
- 50 Hand Washing buckets
- 400 Face Masks
- Hand sanitizer and soap
- 2000kg of rice
- Other essential foods
We can do more with your help!
- Sierra Leone has already had 3 hard lockdowns within the last month.
- The outbreak is only at the beginning, and could go on for many more months
- Further lockdowns and poor medical facilities could lead to loss of all income, lack of food and mass death through the spreading
- We want to raise £10,000 to supply essential foods, PPE and sanitation equipment for at least 3 months
As this virus continues to spread, the impact it will have on these small villages like Mobai will be devastating if we do not act now and act quickly.
This is where you come in!
You can help us do this in 2 ways:
- Donate - By donating you will be giving a chance to the people of Mobai to survive these perilous times.
- Share - We also understand that not everyone will be able to give at this time and so you can also help us by sharing this message with your friends and family
