Keep Music4Lyfe Playing!

I’m fundraising to help Chris O’Brien (our beloved COB) move his music school to a new location. My name is Liz, a student of Music4Lyfe and girlfriend of its fearless leader. Chris is a lifelong musician and passionate music teacher. His business Music4Lyfe is a treasured rock music school for kids and adults of all ages. The school teaches its students how to play multiple rock instruments of their choosing, like guitar, bass, drums/percussion, keyboard, horns as well as vocal lessons. Each student also gets to join a band formed by Chris and his teachers, to learn how to play together as a team and reap the benefits of making music with others. Chris books regular gigs for the bands at local venues to allow students to showcase their hard work and have fun. At Music4Lyfe students learn new skills, gain a new language through music and confidence to play to a crowd that translates to increased confidence and joy in life!

Music4Lyfe is losing its current location in Lake Worth, Florida at the end of February 2024 (edit - extended to end of April YAY!). The school has occupied a large space at a reasonable cost since 2019. Its current home will be an immense loss and difficult to find again. Music4Lyfe truly is a fun, safe and welcoming place for its students and it is Chris’s mission to keep it that way. He and his team have to find a new home, build it out to meet the school’s needs and move the equipment (instruments, sound equipment, stages, lighting, furniture, etc.) to its new location. He is currently looking for a suitable new spot, but most are at a higher price for less space and will require a large down payment that exceeds the school’s savings.

Funds raised here will go directly to Music4Lyfe to help pay first/last month’s rent and security deposit at the new location, build out and moving costs. **Music4Lyfe has been given an extension to move out of on May 1st! This is so helpful as finding an affordable new location has been a challenge. Chris is currently looking at a spot close to home and is in the initial stages of negotiating. Fingers crossed they'll work with him! All of the funds raised (and then some!) can make this move happen. He is so grateful to all who've donated so far and is feeling the love! Thank you ALL, let's keep the momentum going!
