Keep Napanee Great
We are a concerned group of citizens who are rising up to speak about the social, environmental, health and economic impacts that the proposed site for a permanent Asphalt Plant and Concrete Batching Plant. A permanent Asphalt plant site at County Road 2 and Palace Road would have an impact on ALL Residents of Greater Napanee. The funds raised will be used by the non-profit group, Keep Napanee Great, to pay for experts and studies, rental of public spaces (for meetings), registration and bank fees and other expenses related to opposing the asphalt plant and concrete batching plant proposal at this location.
We are hoping that our studies and legal challenges will inspire the company and the MOECC to better understand the full impact of having a concrete batching plant, 2 quarries, and an asphalt plant in such close proximity to residences, sensitive land uses and vulnerable ecosystems will have.
We do not want to become known as the Tar Town.
