KEEP OUR BABIES WITH US!!!

My name is Kristen. I am a mother to two beautiful girls, Kaylee who just turned thirteen, and Makayla who just turned ten! Without these two I honestly don't know who I'd be, they mean the world to me!

In August 2023 we became homeless and I became unemployed when my job, which was also where we were living at the time, was shut down by the city and we were given 48 hrs to vacate the property. Our world was turned upside down.

Since that day it has been one thing after another, and I have never felt so alone and lost in my entire life. I am trying everyday to put our life back together and give my girls the life, and home they deserve.

We are currently staying at a motel in Taylor, which by the grace of God allowed us to bring our animals, but it has become unbearable to pay and sustain this room while trying to find employment and help, without a vehicle, support system or family. I was given resources by several organizations for shelters, NONE of which allow you to keep your pets with you! Our dogs and cats ARE our family and the thought of losing them is a pain that can't even be put into words!

We have two dogs, Crystal and Chance. Crystal is almost sixteen years and I've had her since she was seven weeks old. She is the best dog in the whole world. She has been with me since before I had my daughters and she's been there for them their whole lives. We call her "Mamas".

Chance will be six years old next month, he is my rock and the girls teddy bear! The thought of being without them is beyond heartbreaking for us.

It was suggested to us to start a GoFundMe in order to continue being able to pay for our stay at the motel that has allowed us to live with our pets. Our hope is that we can raise enough money on here to both stay at the motel until I am able to find housing- and put some of the money raised here towards a deposit and first month's rent on an apartment.
