Keep our pool open

Hi my name is Kayleigh, I'm a parent at earls Colne primary school, today we received a letter saying sadly due to cost our beloved pool won't be able to open this summer term

I know alot of people have benefitted from the pool for many many years and we really don't want to loose it!

The pool is such an asset to the school and enables all children to learn to swim, with the cost of living for some this is the only opportunity for some children to be able to learn.

The pool currently needs a new liner at a huge cost of £15,000! Additionally the yearly running costs are around £12.500. Unfortunately all of this has to to funded by the school and pta

A message from the PTA...

We have had some difficult news today and now we need your help to make a splash!

Our school swimming pool, a summer term place of laughter, learning, and life-saving skills, has had to close this year due to the rising costs of pool repairs and maintenance.

As parents and families of Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery we are determined to reopen it, giving every student the chance to learn to swim, build confidence, and enjoy the water once again.

To make this dream a reality, we need to raise £25,000 to carry out essential repairs including a new pool liner and several safety upgrades as well as changing room changes.

Every pound brings us closer to jumping back in!

Swimming isn’t just fun—it’s a vital life skill. Reopening the pool means:

• Safe, on-site swimming lessons for all year groups

• New opportunities for physical activity and wellbeing
