Keep our Wonder Woman, Meegan Clancy fighting!

I'm Tim Rogers, one of Meegan's countless list of close friends. Both originating from South Australia, I have known Meegan for the last 25 years.
Throughout the decades I have been witness to her selfless giving nature to both individuals and communities alike, from times shared in Adelaide in the good old Heaven Nightclub era to the now and last 20 years in Manly Beach. Where in true Meegan style, she threw herself into the heart of community and gave her all, physically and emotionally, contributing in more ways than one to the amazing beach town we all know and love today.
However, right now life has thrown Meegan a nasty curve ball. So I can comfortably say it's our time to show our appreciation of her timeless generosity by giving back as a group and help smash this one right out of the stadium!
The shocking reality is, Meegan was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in September 2019. Categorised as the second biggest killer in Australia, with a 40% chance of death within the next 5 years.
On behalf of Meegan I apologise to many of you for the shock of this information, but as you can understand this is not something you want to share with everybody until you desperately need to. Right now unfortunately is that time and she really needs our help.
As you can understand the costs are rapidly accumulating and Meegan has already funded months of non-stop specialists, scans, chemotherapy, radiation and extensive alternative medicine to fight cancer spread and help manage a long list of temporary and long term side effects, some of which including being sterilised into menopause.
Meegan has, amazingly, kept her composure and humour throughout this roller coaster and has continued working where possible. However, her earnings to date, have only managed to cover half of her weekly costs. With her bank account already down $30,000, we’d like to take the pressure off this fighter and make a bleak situation a little bit sunnier.
With our vast network of friends interstate and locally if we all make a small contribution we can easily reach this goal and beyond. Click the share button at the top right of this page and get the word out there to help this Wonder Woman keep on swinging!
Meegan is fighting like a cancer ninja. She has placed herself on a strict organic plant based diet, researched the hell out of the do's and don'ts and even attended a cancer education retreat, to give her the best tools to fight this horrific disease. She is lazer focused and research driven. But all this understandably costs.
Meegan has some major hurdles ahead. The next step is an aggressive and expensive, life changing surgery scheduled this March 2020, which will require a large amount of time off, assistance to recover and equipment for her bodies new physical needs. If all goes to plan, surgery will then be followed with 6 months of soul (and body) destroying chemotherapy.
