NEW LOCATION
After 22 years Red Rooster Coffee House is moving locations. Changes at our current location have led us to find a new home. We have received overwhelming encouragement to remain in business and remain downtown because of the impact that the Red Rooster's mission has made and continues to make on our community. We have been asked by many people, "How can we help?" This campaign is one answer to that question. We need financial assistance to make this dream a reality.
NEED FOR FUNDING
We are buying a building, renovating (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction and flooring) for a new coffee bar and bathrooms. We need to repair and purchase equipment and furniture, build a music venue room, install a new sign and more.
This undertaking is financially stretching us past our own abilities to bring the dream to completion. We are relying on you, our fellow community members to help us launch a new era for this "community center" known as the Red Rooster Coffee House.
Construction will starts on August 20 and this is when the need for funding will begin. We have received great moral support from many community members which has fueled our search for a new location. We now need your financial support to complete the goal, to give us the opportunity to continue to serve and in fact, increase our ability to be a positive force in our community.
THE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY
Red Rooster Coffee House has been a beacon of intentional community building for 22 years. Sibling owners, Dan Cleberg & Kileen Limvere have built a hub of creativity and friendship. It's a magical spot where all types of people gather all day in downtown Aberdeen having positive interactions. A few of the many events that gather people are Old Time Music Jam, Mahjong group, Knitting group, Open Mic nights, Art & Music night, Live concerts, Hope of Dreams (people with disabilities plan events & projects), Film nights, Dances & theme parties, Art exhibitions, Workshops, Book signings and the weekly Art & Music night (with free food and art supplies). People gather everyday for meetings (both casual and formal), and countless long lasting relationship have begun at the Rooster (including several married couples). While we strive to be the best we can be in our products and service we are much more than a coffee house. We are a fountain of human connection and opportunity for creative expression.
