KEEP ROANOKE CITY PUBLIC POOLS OPEN
Donation protected
Due to Roanoke City budget cuts, Washington Park Pool and Fallon Park Pool have been closed through 2021. The COVID-19 Pandemic is dictating the current closure. However, no funds are available to re-open the pools through 2021.
Both of these pools provide valuable entertainment, exercise and community spirit for neighborhood youth and families.
Money generated by this fund will be used to re-open these pools when it is safe to do so. Please consider donating, no matter how small the amount.
An account has been formed at American National Bank under the name “ Keep Roanoke City Pools Open”. Along with John Fishwick, officers at American National Bank have been actively involved in the planning and execution of this campaign. We have been coordinating our efforts with the city manager. At the appropriate time when it is safe to open the pools, the money will be released to Roanoke City and earmarked for the opening and operation of the pools.
