Keep Rural Laotian Children in School
Donation protected
Support Keep Helping Each Other (KHEO), a nonprofit founded by a Buddhist Monk, and help Lao children develop the literacy and life skills needed for a better quality of life.
Every year, KHEO helps children like Ying and Mala, pictured below, stay in school.
In a small village, we met Ying and her older sister Mala, a girl of about 13, who carried a baby. When we approached Mala, we learned the infant she had was hers. She had been married off at 12 years old. If it had been up to her, Mala told us, she would have loved to keep studying and singing. But that wasn’t an option.
With no money for school supplies or her uniform, Mala had no choice than to marry and birth a child.
Thanks to KHEO, Mala’s younger sister, Ying, had a different fate. KHEO donations helped fund Ying’s school supplies, her uniform, and even the construction of a school that was built solely off of donations we received in 2016.
This #GivingTuesday when you donate to KHEO, you are helping young children like Ying continue schooling that otherwise wouldn’t be available to her. Help us protect children like Mala and Ying, and support a generation of Laotians who thrive with better opportunities made possible by education.
When you donate $10, you help us provide journals and pencils for 10 children.
When you donate $25, you help us provide school uniforms for five children.
When you donate $50, you help us provide 20 solar panels for village schools.
When you donate $100, you help us fund our village visits for 50+ Laotian young adults who are teaching, developing leadership skills, and growing alongside the children we support.
