Keep Shirley Safe: Donate for Roof Replacement

I am asking for your help & starting this campaign to help our elderly neighbor. She is in dire need of multiple home repairs. Most urgently is a roof. I am hopeful for community support and assistance in sharing this often if able.

She is in a situation where insurance has threatened to cancel her policy unless she repairs/replaces her roof & they will not help her (she’s been with them since age 16). If they cancel her insurance, her lender will foreclose. She is not having luck with community outreach programs and she literally has zero money and her credit is bad from struggling.

About Shirley:

Shirley will be 80 years old in November. She tragically & suddenly lost her husband 19 years ago, since then, she has done everything she can do to try and stay afloat, she lives month to month on her SS/pension (which most months she is “in the red”). She rarely has money to even go to the grocery store. Shirley is the sweetest person and tries to always wear a smile on her face. She suffers from various medical conditions that cripple her. Trust me when I say, she needs help and it’s been a very tearful and stressful few years and she has nowhere to turn. She… just …needs…help.

My goal is to try and have the community come together to help her with some of this so she can have her roof replaced, it is so bad, it is LITERALLY caving in. If you are able to contribute just a little, that would help a LOT. If you are unable to contribute, that’s okay, please share this and pray for her, she can always use prayer.

I have the letter she received from insurance along with a quote from the roofing company.
