Hello, I'm Skye, thank you for visiting my fundraiser

The novel coronavirus disrupted all of our lives, and getting things back on track is a struggle familiar to pretty much all of us. In my case, I was already struggling going into the pandemic, and then I spent eighteen months almost entirely alone. This gave me the time and space I needed to focus on my mental health, which has improved by leaps and bounds! but it also has left me needing to start over, in my early 40s, on a new life.

I am underemployed and seeking help with living expenses while I confer with social workers to go back to school on a vocational rehabilitation project. I currently live with friends, helping with childcare and housekeeping, so I have something to do- but I feel I need to get myself financially independent again, by going back to school and earning anything from a certification to a degree

I've been living without a permanent home for four years- I long for a place to call mine. A place where I can spread my wings and accomplish my goals beyond basic survival. I want to thrive, and Im asking for your help

Funds will mostly be used to secure prescription medications, clothing, gasoline and food. Some may be spent on my toddler nephew. I live in a u.s. state with almost no social safety net, and so I must come to you to fill the gap left by politicians who would rather see me struggle than thrive.
