KEEP SPACEBOUND TRAMPOLINE PARK ALIVE
Donation protected
When Jens and Eddy moved to South Florida to start their own business, they never expected to encounter the challenges awaiting them along the path to fulfilling their dream. They moved to Fort Lauderdale with their heads full of business ideas. On November 2015, they found the perfect match to their expectations: A trampoline park they would build inside an existing family entertainment center. A place that will give them the chance to be engaged with their new community by offering fun to families just like them.
They wrote a business plan, applied for an SBA loans and put all their savings, their house and in-laws’ savings into this dream project. Their dream park opened to the public in November 2016 and since then, the park has entertained more then 175,000 people from all over the world and United States.
As with any life adventure, there were certainly obstacles along the way… But the wild ride was worth all the hard work. However, by mid 2018 a longstanding commercial dispute with the landlord arose and then in March of this year the COVID 19 Shelter-In-Place order hit the park in unprecedented ways: the park was shut down and revenue disappeared overnight. Staff was laid off and their lives like many others were put on pause for over 3 months. However expenses like rent and utilities continued mounting - with no money coming in to pay those bills.
Although, much has changed in our city and in our world, SPACEBOUND Trampoline Park (formerly Rockin’ Jump) remains a place for the Fort Lauderdale community to have fun in a safe and clean environment. The owners Jens Berding and Eddy Manzo keep working hard to secure jobs for the team members that have been part of their team for more than 4 years. They continue to provide the Fort Lauderdale community a place to put aside fears and find a sense of normality.
Since the park was closed for almost 3 months and was unable to generate income, Jens and Eddy’s cash reserves dwindled quickly. The bills continue even though the trampoline park was closed.
We would like to REASSURE you that they are doing everything in their power to keep SPACEBOUND TRAMPOLINE PARK alive. This place offers fun in a safe place during this uncertain time. It is a place where neighbors, families, and friends can find each other even with social distancing.
Where do they go from here?
Jens and Eddy are putting every effort into preserving the dream that they built. Spacebound Trampoline Park is a place of joy, energy, activity and smiles for every kiddo who walks in their doors. Expenses such as rent, payroll, utilities and legal fees this year are putting the Spacebound Trampoline Park in jeopardy of not being able to continue. The funds raised will be utilized to help save the business and continue operating. If after’s everyone’s best efforts, the legal issues cannot be resolved, the funds raised will be utilized to start a new business and Jens and Eddy will continue to contribute to their community with their whole hearts as they have for the past 4 years
We humbly ask for your support. We know what a difficult and uncertain time this is for everyone, and we understand that there are many individuals and organizations in need. If you’re in a position to support them we’ll be extremely grateful to receive that help, and any donation to this campaign will contribute to the cash resources they need to address the immediate future, to take care of staff, and to create the structures to take SPACEBOUND into the future. And if you could let others know about this campaign, we’ll appreciate that tremendously.
Please be sure to stay in touch with us, stay tuned to their various social media channels, email blast and website. Most of all, please drop us a line to let us know you’re out there. These messages of support and friendship are priceless
