It is with a heavy heart that I am having to make this fundraiser. I am a very private person who has trouble reaching out to others when things get really hard. I have explored every possibility before reaching out for help. Unfortunately, my situation is so critical there is no other way.

I was in a major car accident in 2019. Since the accident I have had multiple surgeries, other critical health conditions, & irreversible damage as a result of the accident. I will live with these disabilities for the rest of my life.

Currently, I have casts/braces on every limb of my body except one. With only 1 limb it is very hard to complete activities of daily living which include driving, working, & walking. The most severe injury I sustained is a drop foot on my right side. Drop foot is due to spinal cord compression/injury and was caused by the accident in 2019.

I am coming to you today because my situation is critical and I need help. The accident wasn’t my fault, I was rear-ended on the highway while at a complete stop by someone going 65mph. She then got hit by the car behind her which resulted in a 2nd impact for me.

Due to the severity of my injuries & the amount of medical bills we had to access MY uninsured/underinsured motorist policy. There was never any question or doubt that I would be able to use this portion of my Insurance policy. Unfortunately due to mistakes my lawyer made the mediation/settlement meeting was cancelled. I should have received my settlement by now, but chances are I never will. My attorney has officially withdrawn from my case and left me in this horrible position.

This settlement was my lifeline, without it, I lose everything. Not only did her mistakes blow up my case, it blew up my life. 5 years of treatment, pain, stress & suffering all down the drain. I am having to walk away from this case without anything.

I have reached out to over 100 attorneys and they have all said it is impossible for them to take my case due to how far along it is in litigation & due to the mistakes my attorney made; which are detrimental. These mistakes create a set of challenges for a new attorney if they were to take over.

What is most critical right now is making sure I can eat, have electricity and don’t lose my home until I am healed enough from the two upcoming surgeries to work.

it’s not fair, it’s not right, I was not at fault, I was seriously injured in this car accident and will be forever disabled due to these injuries. It was a simple and easy case, but due to my attorneys carelessness and mistakes, the case is over.

Due to this I am unable to pay my bills. My electricity is off, I have no money for food, I can’t pay my rent which is due tomorrow, I can’t afford my medications, etc. I have 2 surgeries I need ASAP but I can’t have them if I don’t have a roof over my head and a place to sleep.

I can’t work a normal job due to my physical limitations, I can’t drive because I have casts/braces on all but one limb including my right leg. My drop foot on my right side has been getting worse daily. I have ZERO income. I will reapply for food stamps and disability but the system is slow. These past few months have been one of the most stressful and trying times of my life. I am still in shock and have no way to move forward. I feel like I am stuck in the bottom of a dark hole unable to see any light.

My mental health is not good, my physical health is not good, I see no way out, as I mentioned earlier I have 2 surgeries coming up and can’t be on the streets for my recovery.

My physical health alone would overwhelm most people but now add in financial crisis, anxiety, depression, and being terrified to the mix. It’s a terrible combination. This is too much for one person to handle alone, I am hanging on by a thread and without help I don’t even want to know what will happen.

I am so embarrassed to ask for help it is not something I normally do. I prefer being the one to help others. Unfortunately, at this time I have exhausted all of my resources and this is my only option. I know it's a lot to ask so please don’t feel obligated to donate, I appreciate you more than you know.
