Keep Sweet Patricia's Doors Open

Sweet Patricia's is a locally-owned neighborhood bakery with true community spirit. Owner and Chef Andria is self-taught and opened the business in memory of her grandmother Pat (all the recipes are hers). The bakery has quickly become a cornerstone for the neighborhood, offering discounts for students, fundraisers for animal rescues, and safe space for LGBTQ events. And they need our help to get over a bump in the road.

After two years on the block, this all-woman team decided to get their beer and wine license to be able to offer a nice glass of red with their signature Italian homemade dinners. After gathering all the paperwork and signatures they learned the application submission cost nearly $2,500. The owners had been relying on this expected extra revenue stream to provide a buffer for slower times and fluctuating costs (like the dozens of eggs needed each week to make their delicious baked goods).

So here is the deal for Sweet Patricia's future: Raise funds to submit the application (as well as some extra to stay afloat waiting for the process to complete) or close the bakery.
