Keep Team Blue 8's Service Dreams Alive

Help a hard working team of young volunteers complete their year of service, originally funded through AmeriCorps NCCC but tragically cut short due to sweeping federal budget cuts.
My name is Alani, I was the leader of Team Blue 8 of the NCCC Pacific Region Class 31A up until last week, when we got the abrupt call that DOGE has shut down NCCC. We had to leave our project sites, pack our bags, and get on a plane within 24 hours.
My team is eager, strong, motivated, and not ones to give up. We are all committed to completing our year of service and seeing through the projects initially assigned to us.
My team was supposed to be working on a camp in Alaska from end of April through July. The sponsor has made it clear how important our scheduled work is and would still like to host us independently of NCCC. This work includes preparing the camp for its upcoming season; completing infrastructure improvements, trail maintenance, facilitating safe and educational activities, and more. The camps mission is to inspire leadership and confidence in the next generation through unique outdoor experiences.
Our goal is to be in Alaska by the start of May, and complete the project as originally intended.
For those who don't know, NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) was a federally funded, full time, residential service program for young people ages 18-26. Teams of 8-12 partnered with non profit organizations across the country, doing disaster relief, conservation work, hunger relief and more. It is a 10 month commitment where teams travel and live together, creating a unique and memorable service community and family.
In order to get Blue 8 to the camp in Alaska, we are asking for:
$9,000 for flights, $6626 for food, and $400 for supplies.
This is a time where we can't rely on previous systems to help our communities, we must take it upon ourselves and support one another. This is a call to action. An opportunity for you to help fund necessary work that we all see value in.
We can't give up just because they shut us down.
This is your opportunity, send your support now!
