Hi, I’m Shelly, the owner of Oreo's Refining - the only non-corporate e-waste recycling facility in the Northwest.

Oreo's started in Missoula, Montana and has served communities and municipalities across the state of Montana. In two short years, Oreo’s recycled  47,927 pounds of e-waste.

But we are changing things up. Oreo’s has been approved to create a mobile e-waste scrapping unit - first for the region. With a mobile scrapping unit Oreo’s can go to communities that don't have access to electronic recycling. Without access, e-waste is thrown in the dump or taken into the woods and used for target practice. The environmental impacts of the release of toxins in e-waste into the natural world are high.

Once mobile, Oreo’s can stay a week at a time in smaller towns and counties and be of service. E-waste is highly toxic and deadly to our environment. The same toxic waste  that makes up the Butte’s Superfund site, a mine tailing pit, is in our electronics. Oreo’s does not export e-waste, we dismantle and recycle most everything locally to help support locally owned businesses.

To make a mobile e-waste service a reality, Oreo’s is raising funds for the main component, a 20 foot by 6 -8 wide trailer.
