The short of it is as such: My family's dental insurance fell through, I didn't get my teeth professionally looked at for almost 7 years, and now I have to get a tooth removed, an implant, two crowns, and several fillings for about $10,000 that I cannot afford. The US is a failed state, and I need help.

The long of it, for those curious:

My history with dental health isn't a happy or fun one. From an early age, I was terrible with teeth care and needed surgeries and caps/crowns to fix my teeth. Throughout middle school and high school, I did my very best to care for my mouth -- I never wanted anything like that to happen again, and I certainly didn't want to trouble my family with problems like that, either. This upkeep worked for a time, until about 2015 or so when my family's dental insurance was stripped away as a result of my father being laid off. Without professional help, I tried my best to continue having healthy teeth. Or so I thought.

Last week I made an appointment with Aspen Dental, who showed me several cavities to be filled, one dying tooth to be pulled and set with an implant, and an impacted wisdom tooth to be extracted. A total of over $10,000. As a temp worker who works in wildlife (my wildlife people can probably sympathize) I can only barely afford this. I am taking my savings from $12,000 down to less than $2,000. If you can spare any amount of money, I would be forever grateful, and I still will be if you can circulate this message!
