Keep Wally's Food Deliveries Rolling

Wally’s Winos Inc. d/b/a Wally’s Food Rescue and Delivery

I’ve known and worked with Wally Barrett for years, but continue to learn more about all he does for people and animals. Wally has moved food, water and much needed items to homeless encampments and people for over 40 years. He and Claudia helped send supplies to Standing Rock, supplied food banks at Four Winds American Indian Council, Denver Indian Center and Spirit of the Sun. Wally delivers food to all the SOS Camps, and the tiny home village. He helps supply “2 and 4 leggs” food to The Network Coffee House, Community Fridges, and Homeless Advocates. Works with Commun Denver, Kaizen Food Rescue, Jay’s Food Bank, Jeffery/Lorrie’s Food Bank, Denver Food Rescue, Sprouts, Joy’s Kitchen, and 4Seasons Hotel, moving food to Battered Women’s Shelters, Children’s Homes, Senior Centers, Native Elders, people living with disabilities, families and individuals all over the metro area. He gives away over 5000 pounds of Dog and Cat food each month and at least 15,000 pounds of human food. Wally also helps move people's belongings when they are being evicted or moving from homelessness to their own home. Wally and Claudia have, for years worked with Native People sending many thousands of pounds of dog/cat food, clothes, and nonperishables to reservations. During the holidays they have worked with Sharletta Evans delivering turkeys, toys and gifts for Murder Victims Family Members and others in her network. I know he is always in need of funding since he lives on a small Social Security check, odd jobs, and wonderful donations. Wally spends over $800 a month on gas and recently had to find at least $2000 on parts for his engine and brakes. He will soon need tires and more brakes. Thankfully 2 wonderful mechanics have helped keep him going by doing work for little. Before I prepared this, Wally agreed to post it, AS IS, to his network, GOFUNDME, Next Door and Facebook.
