Help Wayne Survive Winter
Hello, I’m Sebastien Bordeaux, and I've had the privilege of touring with Wayne since the onset of COVID-19.
The pandemic hit many of us hard, and Wayne has been working tirelessly to get back on his feet. Unfortunately, he’s faced a series of challenges that have left him in a tough spot. I’m reaching out on his behalf because he’s unfamiliar with how GoFundMe works and truly needs our help.
**Long story short:**
Wayne's electricity is set to be shut off tonight, and his rent is due tomorrow. Due to financial strain, he hasn’t been able to register his van or secure insurance. Today, he was pulled over and received a ticket for the lack of insurance, adding legal fees to an already overwhelming situation. The only way Wayne has managed to stay afloat is through touring, and we’re trying to keep him going until our next tour in mid-March.
We’re aiming to raise funds to help Wayne cover essential expenses such as utilities, rent, and legalizing his tour van so that he can continue to work. The band is committed to ensuring that these funds go directly to where they’re needed most.
I understand that times are tough for many, as I’m a working musician myself and have benefitted from support in my own times of need. If we can’t raise the necessary funds, Wayne may face serious consequences that could jeopardize our tours for the year.
Wayne is a national treasure—a genuine artist who connects deeply with his fans through his raw and powerful songs. He lives a humble life, and I’ve seen firsthand the struggles he faces. If I had the means, I would help him myself, but like him, I’m living gig to gig.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a significant difference in helping Wayne survive this winter. Thank you for your kindness and support!
I don’t have much myself until my tour next month but I’m gonna kick it off by donating $20.
