Tyler Camp's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
To know Tyler Camp is to love Tyler Camp. This young man is a 24 yrs old from Shelton, CT who is so funny, genuine and always tries to find the positive side even in the worst situations. In April of 2019 life changed for him. Tyler started with kidney issues. By the end of Sept 2019 it was clear he would need a kidney transplant to survive. Tyler's Tribe on FB was created and the hunt to find a match began. After over 670 shares and not a compatible match was found Tyler's Dad decided to do whatever he had to do to improve his health to hopefully become the match that would save his son's life. Unfortunately tests to see if Jeff could be his donor were put on hold because of the COVID 19 and by the end of May 2020 Tyler sadly had to begin dialysis. Once restrictions were lifted it was finally confirmed that his dad was indeed a match. Surgery will take place on July 28, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Tyler will be out of work, with no paid sick time for at least 3 months. The next few months will be long and difficult. He is a custodian for the City of Shelton and the BOE. This fund is to help Tyler with the months of lost wages, daily expenses and anything he may need to help him heal from this life saving surgery. We understand that things are tight for everyone in the pandemic we are in. Tyler and his family deeply appreciate your help and thank you in advance for any and all donations. Your continued support, prayers and love mean more than you'll ever know. We will keep you all posted of his progress. Stay safe & healthy !!
