Hi ,
My name is john and I'm 69
keeping our dog Dora
Back in 2020, i lost the home i had lived in for 35 years because of a bridging loan that i couldn't repay with the remaining proceeds of the sale; i managed to gather enough to rent a flat for a year, ihad to pay a year upfront because i had no income to speak of, as i was working as a photographer but due to the stress of all this had some mental health issues so could not earn enough money but was Hopeful things would improve Covid had Ended. i was hoping to get some more work, and the Briding Loan Nightmare Was over still, but things did not work out for me
When the tenancy Ended, i could not afford to rent again As ii did not have a year's rent to pay upfront, this is needed if you cannot prove an income.
i have been staying in hotels, this is now unsustainable, so icontacted Camden Council asking for help with Housing; they said i do not qualify for this and advised mto re-home our dog and go into a Hostel, which idon't want to do, as it would devastate me
i urgently need funds to put a deposit down on a flat and to pay a year or six months' rent upfront.
If I can achieve this, I can keep our dog, who is my baby.
I am beside myself with worry now, and it's ruining my life; my dog means everything to me and i don't want to live without her. She's family.
