Keeping Skylar at home

I am reaching out for your support in a difficult time. As many of you may or may not know, I am currently in a custody battle to keep my daughter Skylar with me here in Florida. My daughter has grown up here and is surrounded by her extended family and friends. Since January of this year, I have been battling her mother in court over relocation as her Mother is trying to move her permanently to Tennessee. Last month I was finally able to put a temporary stop to the relocation and win temporary full custody of Skylar. Although the court concluded it is in Skylars best interest to stay with me in Florida, the final custody hearing is approaching and I still have outstanding legal fees. The legal fees have become a significant burden on my family and I, and we are struggling to keep up with the costs. As I continue to pay back the fees owed, the next hearing is around the corner.

Although asking for money is not something I'm comfortable with, Skylar means everything to me, and I cannot imagine losing her. Her wellbeing is far more important than my pride. I have always been a loving and caring parent, and I believe that Skylar's best interests are served by staying with me and her entire family in Florida. While I have continuously made every effort to ensure Skylar stayed in contact with her mom, the same cannot be said if she gets to take my baby girl away from me so that is why winning this upcoming court hearing is so crucial to Skylar and I.

I am asking for your support in raising funds to cover the legal fees associated with the upcoming custody hearing. Every donation counts, no matter how small, and will help to ensure that Skylar stays in a stable, safe, and loving home. Your generosity and support mean the world to us, and we are grateful for any assistance you can provide.

While I have been working hard to pay off legal fees, this has been an incredibly expensive process and to date I have spent over $3,000 for court hearings, retainer fees, and attorneys but I still owe $10,000 to help cover past due expenses and upcoming legal expenses.
