Keep Sam Laughing
Don protégé
Actor and comedian Sam Beman, married his beautiful wife Sarah in March of 2015. A month later he went to have some blood work done, because Sam appeared very weak as though he were dying. Their fears were confirmed after the couple received a phone call stating that he was in critical condition, and needed to get to the hospital right away.
The night that Sam was admitted for a blood transfusion, his kidneys were shutting down. Not to mention he'd been in pain from sciatic nerve issues, which casued the doctors to run several tests. Finally they discovered it was Hodgkin's Disease Lymphoma Stage Four, through a bone marrow biopsy. The comedian had to receive chemo right away in order to survive.
Throughout the course of six months, Sam received twelve treatments and over seventy infusion shots, along with lung tests, PET scans as well as bone calcium injections. All the while not being able to work a full-time job, afford insurance or take care of his wife and four step children like he'd hoped to.
The couple are still not out of the woods yet, because Mr. Beman has more tests, scans, while also being monitored for the next two years, with a 60% chance that the cancer could come back.
The Bemans appreciate any help in advance at this difficult time in their marriage. Thank you for your support and prayers.
