Stand with Donna in Her Time of Need

On April 5th, 2025 my cousin and best friend in the world, Donna Cusick, had a horrible accident while coming back on her golf cart from one of her many, daily dog walks. Fortunately, as an epileptic, Donna did not hit her head. However, her right arm is broken at both the shoulder and the elbow joints, with her humerus bone coming through the skin at the elbow. Donna was taken to St Lucie Medical and subsequently transferred to Lawnwood Hospital as a high priority trauma, where she is currently an inpatient.

She needs two separate surgeries, one on her elbow today, April 6th and one on her shoulder, which will happen later this week.

You know Donna as the Savannah Club dog walker, pet sitter, and all around helpful person many of you call when you need assistance of any kind. She is such an amazing care taker, for sure! But right now Donna needs our help. As a self-employed person, Donna is uninsured. She is looking at tens of thousands of dollars of medical bills. While she and her family are more than willing to cover some of this, her inability to work as she recovers also deepens the financial burden. A little bit of help from all the people who Donna has helped over the years would be so greatly appreciated at this time of need.
