Keil's Journey to A New Kidney!
Donation protected
Hello Everyone! My name is Kalee Elles , one of Keil's older sisters.
Our brother was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the young age of 1.5 years old.
Fast forward to the present, Keil is 23 years old and as most of you know he went into Kidney Failure April of 2022. He has since been completely dependent on dialysis. To say this last 11 months has been a struggle, would be a complete understatement!
Through these past months there has been overwhelming expenses slammed upon our family. Keil and our mother have to travel an hour and a half into Regina numerous times a month to attend many different doctor/specialist appointments as well as private mind and physical therapy sessions. Accommodations, food, mileage, and any other basic living cost are all starting to add up, to say the least. There is also potential, in the future, of having to travel further (possibly out of province) to get the ultimate best care he requires!
Recently, Keil and our mom had to attend training to qualify for the at home Dialysis Cycler Machine. This is a great opportunity for Keil to maintain at home while he waits for a Kidney! Bringing this machine into their home may consist of having to do some home renovations to accommodate it properly and ensure it goes smoothly.
Our family has ultimately tried our hardest to not have to come down to this, but we are at the point now where we are asking for any support we can receive. Absolutely anything would make such a difference! whether it be a share of the post, kind words and thoughts or a donation of any sort!
Financial burden is not anything, anyone, wants to go through... especially when being placed in such a medical crisis.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to read!
On behalf of our brother Keil, our Mom , and our entire family WE THANK YOU for Absolutely any and all support!
Please Keep Keil in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his journey to a New Kidney! ❤️
