Keira (Darla Damnation #275) - Rest In Peace
Donation protected
Skating and in particular Roller Derby brought Keira great joy and happiness. She started with Coastal Juniors Roller Derby and was invited to train with Coastal Assassins Roller Derby adults before turning 18 as she had the maturity, skills and passion for her sport. Background: On Saturday 17th of June our amazing Darla Damnation #275 (Keira) experienced an unexpected cardiac arrest. She spent ten days in ICU at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, but unfortunately as the damage to her brain had become too much, on Tuesday 27 June at 9:30am the decision was made to set her free. We are so incredibly grateful to all of the staff at SCUH for looking after Keira with such dedication and compassion. Our amazing girl has also provided four lucky people the opportunity to live a longer life by donating some of her precious organs. We know how much everyone would like to reach out and offer us support however at the moment we would much rather you take some time to remember her in your own way or attend our Celebrate Skate for Keira Event. Perhaps take in today’s sunset as she often felt most at peace during a beautiful sunset, as in the future we will often think of her, particularly at this time of the afternoon. Forever young and now free… our Keira Paigee 27/01/05 - 27/06/23 EVENT INVITATION: Please join her friends and family at Caloundra Rollerdrome for the "Celebrate Skate for Keira" to raise funds for her funeral and reflect on the amazing, lovely lady Keira represented in life. https://fb.me/e/2B0e1si0z We look forward to seeing you all there. In the event you cannot make it but would like to donate on Go Fund Me..... This will be very much appreciated. All money will be donated directly to Darla Damnation's family.
