Keith Blackmon

I am organizing this fundraiser to benefit Keith Blackmon’s family he leaves behind after his short battle with esophageal cancer. Keith was diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal cancer in October. He completed his first round of chemo in November. On January 20th, Keith was rushed to the ER after collapsing at his home in severe pain. There he was diagnosed with pneumonia, kidney failure, and had fluid drained from his abdomen. The nurses and doctors managed his pain and worked hard to stabilize him. Over the course of the next week and a half, Keith fought to overcome his sickness, but the cancer had spread. His care team kept him comfortable and he was able to say goodbye to close to 100 of his loved ones during his hospital stay. Keith Blackmon passed away on January 31, 2023 at 12:40 am. My hope is that we can raise money for the Blackmon Family to lessen the financial burden this tragedy brought them so they can focus more on grieving and honoring the life of their husband, father, and grandfather.
