Keith Durham Memorial Fund

Brian Keith Durham, a beloved educator for over 30 years and a current member of our Winburn Middle School family,  died suddenly on Saturday, November 2nd leaving his family not only grieving his loss, but also with many unexpected expenses.  These funds will go directly to his family and will help support his wife, Lori, and their three children, son's Evan, age 15 and Lincoln, age 13, and daughter, Aleah, age 12 with both everyday and unforeseen expenses. 
 
Brian Keith Durham was an invaluable member to the Fayette County School District.   He was an Advanced Math teacher at Winburn Middle School in the Gifted and Accelerated Program, and former teacher at Henry Clay High School, Leestown Middle School, and Lexington Traditional Magnet School.  Brian Keith was a 1987 graduate of Henry Clay High School, a 1990 graduate of Centre College and held a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Kentucky.  He was also involved with Winburn Math and Academic Teams, Math Counts, and the Kentucky Governor's Cup.  He was also involved with Chess Club, Math Olympiad, past Math Department Chair at Winburn, Leestown, and LTMS.  He also served as the President of Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics, he served on the KDE Textbook Adoption Committee, the District Math Assessment Committee, and Math Lighthouse teacher. 

He was a unique and special individual whose skills will never be matched again.  His contributions will live on in his students, and his presence will be missed by all.
