Keith Ferguson's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On April 27th, 2022, my brother Keith Ferguson had a Hemorrhagic stroke (brain bleed.) After being in the hospital for about a month, he was recently transitioned to an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center.
Because of the Stroke, Keith now has global aphasia, a severe condition that affects speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing. The stroke also happened in an area of his brain that affects the right side of his body.
At this time, we’re only able to communicate successfully a small fraction of the time which has been hard and completely life-changing for Keith and his family, especially his 15-year-old daughter, Kate.
We're told by doctors that the next 3 months are the most critical time for rehabilitation. Keith has to have Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. And while he does have insurance, unfortunately, it does not cover a large majority of the extensive care and rehabilitation he needs now and in the future.
We have a long road ahead of us, but we’re all determined to do whatever it takes to help Keith get the care he needs so that he can improve his ability to understand, communicate, and restore as much language as possible.
Any amount you are able to donate will help tremendously with medical and rehabilitation bills.
We all thank you so much for your love and support.
